on vibe coding: It’s frustrating. It gives non tech people the illusion that they can code and build. Reality is far from it. Read a blog recently that showed even experienced devs have no productivity gains with AI - in fact they perform worse. I’m not a coder. I only know the basics of CS and i have been able to build a few half-apps with vibecoding. But I’d never trick myself into believing I can build production ready code.

On writing: I’m typing this on my iPad. I have Logitech folio keyboard. TBH i haven’t used it that much. Anyway, i was wondering what was the best writing app for the iPad? Something like iA writer but ideally free? One of these days I might just make an impulse IA writer purchase.

Hand writing: I bought a writing pad that you can attach to your computer to be able to write. i can’t process information (at all) if i don’t write it down. I started studying this way when I was in middle school. I had to make notes by hand while studying if I wanted to remember stuff. After I started working I stopped doing this. Bad idea. I tried making notes here and there on my IPad sometime back but never bad it into a habit. The digital writing pad seems to be working so far. I can instantly make notes on stuff i read about. Greatly helps in retaining information.
